Our mission

Free, and staying free.

WordForge exists so that anyone with a phone can read Scripture, study it seriously, and hand it to a child, without paying, signing up, or being sold to. There are no ads, no accounts, and no subscriptions, and there will not be. Every verse is the Berean Standard Bible, word for word, which is public domain so that we never have to pass a licence fee on to you.

The goal is simple: put the gospel and the whole of Scripture in front of as many people as possible, in a form they can actually use, and keep it there. The site is free to use, but it is not free to run. Every study is written fresh and every verse is checked, and the cost of that grows with every new reader. A gift keeps WordForge online, accurate and up to date for the next person who opens it: someone looking up a verse at midnight, a parent looking for a lesson, someone who has never read a Bible. Nobody who cannot give is asked to, and nothing on the site changes whether you do or not.

Gifts go through PayPal, on PayPal’s own page. WordForge never sees or stores a card number; there is nowhere on this site to type one, by design. One-time or monthly, whatever you choose.

WordForge is not a registered nonprofit, so gifts are not tax-deductible. We would rather say that plainly than let anyone assume otherwise.

Where the money goes

Four things, in the order they cost. Nothing else: no salaries, no marketing, no growth targets. The first one grows with every new reader, which is why a free site needs people who choose to give.

  • ◆Hosting and the AI. The servers that run the site and its long studies, and the AI that writes them, which is billed for every word. This is the largest cost, and it grows with every new reader.
  • ◆Accuracy checks. The checks that read every kids study and reference page against the Bible text before it goes live, so nobody is ever handed a misquoted verse.
  • ◆New studies and tools. New studies, tools and reference pages, each generated, checked and read before it goes live.
  • ◆The domain name. Wordforgestudy.com, renewed every year, so the link people share keeps working.

What we will not do

  • ◆No ads. Nothing on this site is for sale, and nobody is buying your attention.
  • ◆No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no database with your name in it. Studies are yours to export; we keep nothing.
  • ◆No subscriptions or premium tier. Everything the site can do, it does for everyone, at no charge.
  • ◆Nothing on the kids pages. The Kids and Teens section carries no giving prompt and never will.
