About

Privacy

The short version: WordForge has no accounts, no database of its users, no advertising and no tracking cookies. It does not know who you are and does not try to find out. What follows is the longer version, feature by feature, so you can see exactly what leaves your browser and where it goes.

What we do not collect

No names, no email addresses, no passwords, no payment details, no location, no profiles. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no record of you to keep. We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone, because we do not have any.

Reading the Bible

When you open a chapter, your browser fetches the text directly from a public Bible service (bible.helloao.org). That service sees the same thing any website you visit sees: your internet address and the page requested. We do not add anything to it.

Generating studies

When you ask for a study, breakdown, summary, sermon outline, prayer starter or word study, the reference or topic you typed, the options you chose, and the Bible text needed for it are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write the result. What you type is treated as the subject of a study, not as information about you; do not put personal details about yourself or others into it. Anthropic’s commercial terms state that requests sent through its service are not used to train its models.

Finished results may be kept in a cache so that the next person who asks for the same passage at the same depth gets it instantly and without cost. The cache is keyed by the request itself (the reference, the options) and holds nothing about who asked.

To keep the free tools free, each internet address is allowed a certain amount of generation per hour. That count lives in the server’s memory for the hour and is then gone; it is not written anywhere.

Stored in your browser, and only there

Flashcard progress, the age band you chose on the kids page, and the last result you generated (so a refresh does not lose it) are kept in your own browser’s storage on your own device. They never leave it and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them. The site can also be installed on a phone and read offline; the pages it keeps for that are stored on your device the same way.

Exporting to Google Docs

If you choose to export a study to Google Docs, your browser asks Google for permission to create a document in your Google Drive. The permission is limited to files the site creates (Google’s drive.file scope), it is granted by you to Google directly, and the access token stays in your browser. We do not receive or store it, and we cannot see your Drive. PDF export and copying happen entirely on your device.

Giving

Gifts go through PayPal on PayPal’s own pages. We never see a card number, and the site has nowhere to type one. What PayPal collects is governed by PayPal’s privacy policy. PayPal shows us the name and amount of a completed gift, as it does for any payment.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see how many people visit which pages and how fast the pages load. Both are aggregate and cookieless: they do not set an identifier on your device, do not follow you between sites, and do not tell us who you are.

Hosting

The site runs on Vercel. Like any host, Vercel receives your internet address and request details to serve the page, and keeps short-lived technical logs for reliability and security.

Children

The Kids and Teens section is meant to be used with a parent or teacher. The site collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and the kids pages carry no giving prompt and no links out. Everything above applies to a child using the site in exactly the same way it applies to an adult: nothing about them is kept.

Your choices

Because nothing about you is stored on the site, there is nothing to request a copy of or ask us to delete. What is stored in your browser is yours to clear at any time. If you do not want a study request sent to the AI provider, the Bible reader, the reference pages and the precomputed studies work without it.

Changes

If any of this changes, this page will change with it and the date at the top will move. See also the terms of use and Our Commitment to Accuracy.
